Aloha! 🌺

If you told me a year ago that I would be living in Hawaii going to missionary school and learning about the Bible, I would have said yeah right and laughed. In just two short months my life has been completely turned upside down. 

The first week of lecture we learned about “The Father Heart of God.” I learned that there is nothing I can do that will make God love me more or less. Because He loves me and he loves you. 100%! His love is unchanging. God wants to see himself through you. I want to challenge you to open your heart to God. Talk to him like you are talking to your best friend. “With Christ as my vessel we can defeat the storm.” Take off that bandaid and trust God. Nobody can make you a Christian. You have to do it all on your own, with the help of God. What’s holding you back? 

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 

The second week we learned about “The Character and Nature of God.” Did you know that we are all lacking something? Everyone in the world has this need for something only they aren’t sure what that need is. Did you know that when humans do something wrong they hide? It’s their impulse to hide away from the sin they had done. But that’s the good thing about humans is we were all born into sin. But want to know something even better. God forgives. Do you want a life where you are protected and watched everyday and a life with someone always there for you no matter what? You can have that life with God in your life. God wants you, all you have to do is believe and trust him and most importantly follow him. TRUST HIM, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR WHOLE WORLD! Take a leap of faith. Step out of your comfort zone and into a whole new world. 

The third week was one of my favorites. We learned about “Hearing the Voice of God.” How does God talk to you? Nobody hears the voice of God the same. Different ways we hear His voice: 

-Dreams     -Creation       -Angels     -Trance    -Loud Voice 

-The word      -Mentors and Leaders      -Art     -Still Small Voice 

-Visions         -Concious     -Supernatural Signs      -Inner Voice of the Holy Spirit 

The 5 main voices we hear are…

-our own voice     -the voice of culture     -God’s voice 

-the voice of others    -the voice of the enemy    

Honestly I am still waiting to hear his voice but I know my time will come when I will hear him. If you can’t hear him, don’t go digging for him. Even if you don’t hear him, he will always be there.

 The next three weeks we learned about the “Identity in Christ,” “Worldview,” and “Bible Overview.”  Hearing this really made me look at the world and the Bible in a whole new perspective. As a kid I always saw the Bible as a story. I never thought of it as a real life thing that actually happened. I wish I could put everything on here what I’ve learned but that would take a year! My whole brain still has not processed everything that has happened in these past two months but I can tell you I am so ready for this week. This week is Holy Spirit week and I am actually getting baptized on Thursday. So please be praying for me on Thursday as I start a new beginning to my life. I can’t tell you how excited I am. I haven’t been baptized before and I am just so stoked to be a daughter of God and give my life fully to him. I can honestly say the more you know God the more you know yourself. I am choosing to be a Christian and I am choosing to live like one as well. Too many people out there say they are Christians but don’t live like one. 

I can’t wait for Thailand. Only 1 month until we leave! December 8th I will board a plane for Bangkok, Thailand and start disciplining throughout the north and south to people young and old. 

As you go to bed tonight. Count your blessings, say your prayers, and ask yourself…are you living your life for God or for yourself?
