Do you ever wonder if you are living the life God has planned for you?
I know I do everyday. It is a big fear of mine.
To have fear means to be afraid. To lose all hope in yourself, worrying about something you think you have no control over; feeling tired and alone.
Let me fill you in on a little secret. You are NOT alone and you do not have to be tired anymore. But what you do have is a choice. A choice to choose to believe and be totally transformed or you have a choice to continue down the same path. One thing I have realized is that you will still have fears everyday, everyone does. But it is up to you to decide whether or not you choose to FEAR God or CHOOSE Him. God wants to help you. He wants to fight your battles, you just need to trust Him and let Him in. He can conquer anything!
What’s going on in my life?!
Well…
I wasn’t going to keep my blog because I was done with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) but I got an email today and saw that I actually paid for another year of it and it made me realize how much I miss writing and sharing my faith with people. I really want this to be a place where people can read this and say, “Hey I’ve been dealing with that or I know exactly what she’s talking about.” A place to have NO FEARS and just get lost in God’s writing through me. Chasing God is definitely a daily struggle but you don’t have to go through it alone. That is one thing I have realized. It does not matter how far away your friends are, sometimes your closest friends are right under your nose.
I don’t know what is going to happen in my future, or what is happening right now. Coming back from YWAM in March was hard, but over the past 4-5 months I have been trying to get my life back on God’s track. See I haven’t been home for more than 3 months in almost 3 years, so I am trying to rebuild my life back up here in Meadville, Pa. Let me tell you…it has been an interesting journey being home so far.
I definitely know that missions is in my future 100%. I love missions and I love traveling. But most importantly I LOVE sharing God’s word with others. Whether that be over seas or right in my back yard.
One thing I have been doing is reading, a lot! (I guess I have a lot of spare time being home) I was actually reading a book the other day called, “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp. If you haven’t read this, GO READ IT NOW!!! It is SO good. In this book she explains how God has given us so many gifts. That we should be thankful in everything we do because it is a gift from God. In the book she writes, “I was lost but know I am found again, Jesus, and I know what I want: to see deeply, to thank deeply, to feel joy deeply. How my eyes see, perspective, is my key to enter into His gates. I can only do so with thanksgiving. If my inner eye has God seeping up through all things, then can’t I give thanks for anything? And if I can give thanks for the good things, the hard things, the absolute everything, I can enter the gates to glory. Living in His presence is fullness of joy-and seeing shows the way in.” I am learning to give thanks to God in everything I do; life is a gift and we can’t take it for granted.
Don’t give up on faith. Find a mentor and confide in them daily. Have your morning coffee and talk with God, He loves when we talk to him. Spend a good 30 minutes in quiet solitude with just reading his word or reading a devotional and praying. He wants to know about your day and your struggles.
Take a deep breath and have God fight your fears for once.
BE FEARLESS!
