Prayer and Trust

Have you ever asked someone to pray for you?

Give it a try.

Right now. Go, ask someone to pray for you. Tell them something you are struggling with.

I dare you!

It’s as easy as learning the A,B,C’s.

James 5:14 says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

Everyone should ask for prayer whether they are 5, 55, or even 105. Prayer changes people and prayer is a start to a GREAT relationship with someone VERY special!

Prayer is something I have always loved to do. It calms me.

When I was 5 years old I stood on a stage and recited the Psalm 23 for my church, preschool class, and my friends and family. I wish I knew then what I know now but I didn’t understand that God was my Shepherd and that He would restore my soul. God is going to lead you down the right path we just have to choose whether to go RIGHT or to go LEFT. God gives us that choice, but to know which path to take we must read His Word and live by His commands. With following God’s plan He allows us to dwell in His house forever and ever and ever.

It’s like when you’re a kid and your mom tells you to clean your room. If you don’t end up cleaning your room there are consequences for disobeying, but if you clean your room she may get you ice cream or let you stay up late.

God will give you that ice cream and He will let you stay up late too. You just need to abide by His plans and read His Word.

Trust in God. He has BIG plans for you!

Jeremiah said it best though…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Friends…Pray. Pray hard and pray BIG!

Some prayers I have for myself are to be present in today and not worry about tomorrow. Coming home to Meadville has been a lot on me and I am working and praying to be fulfilled in God’s presence even if that means staying in Meadville.
