I Am Strong 💪🏻

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

5 Things I’ve Learned In The Past 3 Days:

  • Arizona is HOT.
  • 2.) You can get Lyme disease through a spider bite.
  • 3.) Cactuses have flowers on top of them.
  • 4.) God is really teaching me patience and compassion towards others. (In ways I never would have guessed)
  • 5.) I am stronger then I thought!

The past 48 hours has honestly been a blur. My dad and Jeremy drove my mom and I to the airport on Wednesday and we said our goodbyes.

Hardest. Goodbye. Ever.

My mom and I then boarded a flight from Cleveland headed to Atlanta and finally made it to Phoenix, Arizona. My body was sore. Everything hurt from all the walking and sitting on the plane. I wanted so bad to cry and sleep at the same time. We made it to our Air B&B we were renting for the next few months and it was only 8:00pm Arizona time, 11:00pm Pennsylvania time. (plus to add, I was up at 5 that morning for no reason; so there is 15 hours of no sleep)

-THURSDAY-

I met my consultant, Nick, and then met with my doctor, Dr. Coffin. For 2 hours I sat and talked about the past 10 years of my life. We talked about the different doctors I’ve seen, symptoms I’ve had, and how everyone at Envita was going to do their best to help me with the best possible treatment plan.

PRAISE: I will only be here for 2 months the doctor said!!!

As for my treatment plan I will be given a schedule every Friday to tell me how my week will go and what treatment they will give me. When talking to Dr. Coffin he mentioned the first 2-3 weeks I should starting feeling the treatment start to work. My health will be very up and down but that is good. If it is a steady good first couple of weeks that is not good and means the treatment is not working.

-Friday-

I have yet to find out my treatment plan. I went in this morning around 8:45 AM (Arizona time) and had blood test taken. They go and test for all sorts of things. Some of the tests are: mold, toxins, immune system, auto immune issues, thyroid, gut, and lots more. I also have a take home stool test for my gut I will have to do before I go back on Monday. (that should be fun)

I met with Nick today and he gave me my first appointment time for Monday at 11:30AM. (Arizona time)

On Monday we will go over my protocol, my new patient binder, I will then meet the floor physician (who is different then Dr. Coffin), and they will do an EKG to test my heart. It will all take about 3 hours.

Things To Be Praying For:

  • Having time to process everything that has happened and all the information we have been given.
  • All the things happening on Monday at Envita.
  • Patience between my mom and I while we are here for the next 2 months.
  • Pain in my lower back, neck, and knees to go away.
  • To have some energy so my mom and I can go out this weekend to adventure a little before I start treatment.
  • For Jeremy and my dad with being away from their loved one.
  • For my mom’s knee, she has been having some pain and might have to see a doctor while we are here.

Praises:

  • My mom and I found a place to stay with a BEAUTIFUL view
    • Fun Fact: I love sunsets and last nights sunset was just amazing!
  • My car was shipped out and we received it today
  • I will only be here for 2 months…PRAISE THE LORD!
  • It is sunny EVERYDAY! 🙂
  • Best thing today: My mom and I found a gluten and dairy free donut shop! We have to order them so will have them before my appointment on Monday!! Big Praise There!
