God, can you hear me?

Here is my update that everyone has been asking for. Jeremy and I said our “I Do’s” on August 10th, 2024. (Best day of my life!!)

But let me back track here a few months…

I came home from Arizona in July. I was very fatigued and had no energy from being bed ridden for 2 months. Arizona is a place that changed my life. I am so thankful for all Envita did for me over the 2 months I was there. After I got home I knew I had to gain some strength back from being bed ridden for 2 months. So, after I finally got the okay from my doctor to be able to workout. I started out doing stretches as much as I could (like 2-3x a week).

The beginning of October I started to feel better, my acne was going away and I only had fatigue as my symptoms left my body for good. My blood test also came back and I was in REMISSION for Lyme. We were over the moon excited.

Marriage was going great and Jeremy and I were finding our place as a married couple. Let me tell you being married to your best friend is honestly the BEST thing ever. I love getting to live life everyday with him. I get sad when he goes to work and so happy to see him when he comes home. I will be honest with you though marriage IS hard at times. Especially when I was still recovering from Lyme.

By the end of October I started to feel like my fatigue was getting worse. I went to my doctor as I needed to get my thyroid blood tests updated. Well my blood test came back and my TSH was high. Now my Hashimoto was back and active, or so I thought. Christmas came and went and I was so tired I was back to taking naps (and I don’t nap, ever). With the New Year approaching I knew I had to make some changes. I changed my PCP doctor and met with my naturopathic doctor, Dr. Dengler (who is great). We decided to get more testing done as we still thought it was my thyroid. Jeremy and I spent New Year’s Eve together in our new home as a newly married couple and within the next week I was back getting more blood tests.

I wasn’t catching a break. From May to January I was diagnosed with several different things going on in my body. So yes, marriage was becoming hard for Jeremy and I as it was what we both envisioned “marriage” to be like, and it was all my fault. To top it off God was M.I.A. and not answering me. He vanished. Our connection was lost. The only way I felt connected was through music. I knew I could not go down the road again where I lost God completely so I kept playing the music, I cried out to God, I screamed at God, and we had multiple conversations where I felt I was the only one doing the talking. I kept thinking…”Where was He?” Could He hear me? I was tired and drowning. Jeremy was so great though. He kept pulling me out of the water and was doing the best he could as a new husband and someone who was new to my health issues. He held me when I cried and helped me get through some really hard days.

The second week of January, only 8 days into the new year and I find out I have Mononucleosis a.k.a. Mono. Now just like my Lyme I am not sure how I got this. I could have had it from birth and it was just dormant and activated from my stressful summer in Arizona. It’s only the end of January and still hard to say I have Mono because the only symptom I had was chronic fatigue. But all the blood work came back positive for mono.

The other day I was in one of my moods I get in when I’m depressed and decided to turn on some worship music. This song came on and I started to cry. (Maybe the Miracle by Lizzie Morgan & Essential Worship) I sat on my couch and cried out to God. This song was me. I wanted a miracle for my health so bad and I wasn’t seeing the BIG miracle God had already done.

He gave me Jeremy.

Jeremy is literally a miracle. A gift to me given from God Himself. Miracles don’t have to be physically on your body to see but can be anything including a person. Miracles don’t even have to be something you asked for, just as the song says…they can be something God just gives you because He knows deep deep down it is what you needed.

I am not giving up. I am a fighter. Always have been and always will be.

With that being said. I am going to start using this blog as a guide to helping others with my Lyme and Hashimoto journey. Different detox’s, supplements to take for certain symptoms, and whatever else I think to write about. Having Lyme is so different for each person. I just want to share my journey and what has helped me so others do not have to go through some of the things I have gone through.

Let me know any thoughts you might have for me to write about. I’m excited to start this and help many of you in your health journey.
